Red Barn Farm

On September 24, 2014 the school went on a field trip to The Red Barn Farm.  We had a great time and learned about many different things.  We got to visit the bee hive exhibit.  We learned all about pollination, the queen bee, how honey is made, and the different jobs bees have.  It was very informational and very fun.  We then went to the apple orchard and got to pick three apples to bring home with us.  From there we went on a hay ride to the pumpkin patch where all the students got to pick out a pumpkin.  Finally we got to go on a tour of the barn where we got to see, pet, and learn about all the different animals on the farm.  We learned about how every animal on a farm serves a purpose; whether it is used for food, a work animal, or used to make clothes.   This was a great experience and we appreciate all the parent volunteers who came with us to make the experience enjoyable.
