Playground Equipment

A current project we are looking at is to replace the playground equipment which was installed over 20 years ago and was submerged during the flood of 1993.  It had been given a long term repair by Bill Branham and Ray Writesman. Recently, Mayor Barry Moore and citizen Kurt Holland did repairs.  In our long range vision we know it needs to be replaced.  Originally it was purchased with grant money and lovingly installed by the Masonic Lodge of Missouri City.  Grant opportunities have dried up in today’s economy.

An up to date replacement for the playground equipment could cost as much as $60,000.00.  We are seeking donations to help in this large expenditure.  To date we have raised just a little over $22,000 towards this goal.

If you would like to contribute to this effort please contact Teresa McKown at 750-4391.

Thank you to a couple generous donors, we have collected over $27,000.  We purchased a Spanami, (Thank you to Jack and Jill Talley) which has been installed by Stephen Eppley and his dad, Glenn.  There are talks on purchasing a portion of the original design.  This purchase will allow us to add the rest as we are able to with additional donations and fundraising.

Watch for new pictures and updates as they happen!!!
